High Performance Gear Lube Color - Bravo 3

LOL...only 6 years old? Hopefully, you store the drive in the down position. I change my u-joint bellows every 5 years. I do not have a drive shower and have no plans of installing one.

I would be doing a pressure test. Also, when was the last time you pulled the drive to inspect for water inside the bellows? How old are the bellows?

    Long distance commuters

I used to commute a couple hours each way for a commute that would only take 30 to 45 minutes with no traffic. I then got in a carpool and we left our park and ride at 5:30AM and it was around 30 minutes. During the summer, I would actually ride my bike 17 miles after I drove to the coast. I...

    Grounding coil for compression test

By just leaving it open, that's a sure way to blow out the coil. When it is open, that high voltage has to go somewhere so it blows through the insulation inside the coil trying to find a ground. By grounding it, you don't have that issue.

What advice on renting a room out?

I rented a room to a cousin. Besides almost flooding my house by letting a bathtub overflow, he didn't pay me rent for the last 6 months after he quit his job thinking he could get a better one.

Volvo Penta in Bayliner 1989 runs in start position but not in run position

You need something like a Rinda to read the codes. Forget doing the flashing light code thing. https://www.rinda.com/

Volvo Penta in Bayliner 1989 runs in start position but not in run position

yes Typically, that's more of an issue with an older engine with a points distributor with a ballast resistor. Likely not an issue with your since its a newer engine but worth checking anyway.

You don't do that with the best QB playing the game right now. My wife calls that the "preventing us from winning" defense.

Volvo Penta in Bayliner 1989 runs in start position but not in run position

Check your voltage at the coil in the run position. You have electric fuel pumps on an 89? That is kinda odd since I don't believe they had them back then.
