    A tuneup is a good place to start. If it's not idling well in neutral you need to check everything..then you can narrow it down...

    That's back asswords, you always fill from the drain.. generally don't open vids..

    If I saw that I would take the water input hose off the thermostat housing And back flush, also open the thermostat housing and check. Those bits of impeller could lodge anywhere.. probably got caught in the steering cooler..

    Don't know how you winterize but will offer a story. I have a neighbor who has always winterized using the 5 gal bucket method and it's always worked for him. This past winter it didn't. If the thermostat isn't open when you feed the the cool AF it never gets to the engine..
