    I think the voltage check was to rule out stray current generated by the boat. In any case the anode doesn't appear to have lost much.

    Been in fresh water for a year and a half, It's doing the job it was designed for. I would replace it with a magnesium.and see how that works for you.

    You are right, the only thing I found hard was the availability of a cherry picker tall enough, I had to take the wheels off the trailer.

    I have never used the telephone cord tied to my wrist, if I were in a race boat I would. The safety on the anchor is in my opinion a necessity.

    Yep a good buff and detail and the boat can look like new but the rest of it could be finished..

    I see the point I just don't see the logic. If I tear up a boat that is holed that bad I want my life jacket. I suppose the kind of water your boating in makes a difference. I honestly don't know, none of the sailboats I've chartered had foam in them.

    I've read countless threads in the resto forum where folks have dug out several hundred lbs of wet foam. Why put it back in?

    Or don't put any foam back in it. At least I wouldn't. It promotes moisture retention.

    It's getting old and plastic does break down over time unfortunately not fast enough so it should last a while. I guess it comes down to how long you need the boat and if you have the resources to replace..

    I'm going to guess that in some cases a bad bearing could seize and possibly spin in the carrier. The one in the pic I posted shows possible signs of that. IDK.
