    Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... Why are you goin' backwards,..?? Yer gonna have more issues than just the oil pan not fitting,.... The flywheel, 'n coupler are also different,..... The 1-pc. seal crankshaft is a 3" bolt pattern, 'n the 2-pc crank pattern is 3, 1/4",.....

    Ayuh,..... It takes 3 folks to check to see exactly where such slop is,.... One to hold/ shake the steerin' wheel,..... One to hold/ shake the outdrive,..... 'n the 3rd to look at All the connections to see exactly where the wear is,.....

    Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,.... Has the motor been run, since the incident,..?? If not, do it,... Right now,... Gotta burn out the saltwater,.... I don't buy the tuliped valve theory as the cause,.... not sayin' it don't have a bad valve, but it ain't the cause,..... I would drain...

    Ayuh,..... The big battery cable, the orange from the alternator, 'n the wire to the circuit breaker all go to the big post,..... The yellow/ red wire goes to the small post nearest the block,..... There should be a purple/ yellow wire on the other small post, away from the motor's block,....

    Ayuh,..... How are you gonna run it, if ya can't steer it,..?? If you use the busted steerin' arm(Tiller), 'n it breaks off,..... The motor will swing to a full lock turn, probably throwin' people outa the boat,.....

    Ayuh,.... Sounds like catastrophic failure,.... The motor turns clockwise viewed from the bow, 'n yes, the flywheel should turn with the crankshaft,.... Is there any oil in the motor,..??
