    If it’s the pull style manual primer pull the knob 2 or 3 times. After it starts check to be sure the knob retracted all the back in.

    You may have some blockage within the water passages. You might be able to track it down to a general area with an inferred temp gun. But at the end of the day you would be better off pulling the head and cleaning out the passages. Was this a salt water motor?

    Are you sure the connector is lined up properly? The bolt should be in the detent on the shaft.

    What type of primer do you have? Manual or electric? If electric is the red lever in the manual position? If manual the seals could be shot.

    The mixing instructions will be on your oil container. Quicksilver products are for Mercury as stated on the label. Use a Johnson/ Evinrude product like HPF Pro. I’m jumping off this train. Best

    TCW3 is my choice. You could use others but they are formulated more toward air cooled motors. That’s May 2 cents.

    Have you checked the pick up screens to see if they are clear? How long are you letting it run for? It can sometimes take a few seconds to start flowing when on the muffs.

    That’s looks like very old gas to me or it has been contaminated by something. Get rid of it and start fresh. And take a good look at your fuel line. It may be breaking down internally.

    Yes they will make a difference. They should be the RJ8C I’m a fan of NGK and that would the BR6S I believe but you should double check if you go with NGK

    You could try blowing most it through with compressed air. Use a rubber tip blow nozzle on a blow gun in the top vent and push it out the bottom drain.

    I would shoot for 650 to 700 rpms while in gear and not tied to the dock. But that just me.

    Roadking Using the old head gasket could be a problem. Once they are compressed is usually game over. Just a thought.

    I’m in agreement with all of the above. Let it run for awhile and get up to operating temp before worrying about it to much. Everything may just work it’s self out fine.
