    Ayuh,.... What I found on my motor is,..... The 2 front bolts are the odd bolts, with nothin' on 'em,.... 'n aft starboard side is 2 more, with the liftin' ring, under the bolt heads,..... the very back one has the cannon plug bracket on it with a nut, the other one is empty,....

    Ayuh,...... 2 possibilities come to mind,...... If the controller was failin', I suppose it could somehow find itself in "Throttle Only" mode, but then goes back to normal,..... The other is maybe the lower shift cable is failin',....

    Well, pull the sender apart on the gimbel housing, 'n look for a problem there,...... If the wires ain't broken, 'n the sender is good, you'll see varying resistance testin' the wires, with an ohm meter, as the drive is lifted or dropped,.....

    Ayuh,..... For the temp sender, in the t-stat housing, remove the brown wire, the gauge should be zero,..... Ground that wire to the t-stat housing, the gauge should go Full Hot,..... For the trim sender, there's 2 black soft wires coming through the transom housing, just above the drive...
