    I think you are looking at the wrong wires.-----Brown wires under the flywheel are not part of the overheat warning !!

    All the cranking may have damaged the starter.-----Take it apart for inspection and ohm check on armature.----Possibly new brushes.

    I think there is something wrong with trim motor.-----High current melted the insulation.----Best to replace that motor.-----Or put a second fire extinguisher on the boat.

    Head gaskets are cheaper than powerpacks !-----You learn a lot by looking at cylinder walls.

    The " turbo jet "------Is the V-4 outboard powerhead mounted inside those jet boats 30 years ago.----Marketed for about 4 years at the time.

    Might be an issue with the metal seal rings on the crankshaft.

    Does that nomenclature apply to models 2000 and newer ???----Post a picture of the power steering pump and cylinder.----It is just a simple 60 degree V-6 looper.-----Essentially the same from 1991 to end of production.
