    Pulling from a boat is easier. Pull drive first 1993-1995 S-10 would be a good source to match your motor. If it froze, you will also need a new intake, exhaust manifolds as well as long block I shop on car-part.com for blocks

    Did you verify the resistance of the coil? Wired with a ballast resistor?

    also, the ignition should be points. if the points are not properly set, you could have similar trouble. When was the last time the dwell and timing were set?

    count the intake bolts. if you have 12 bolts at an angle, the motor is a 1993-1995 vintage if you have 8 bolts vertically, then the motor is a 1996-2003 vintage.
