    ok well as we left to visit friends for supper out tonight, yes it is leaking. Not much but it is coming out of a weep hole in the keel. Didn't know they put weep holes in a keel? About 2/3rds the way of the the start of the bow curve.

    Transom is fine, everything LOOKS like original equipment including floors and vinyl, etc so was expecting a bad rivet or two but as I type this i started thinking would the material at the joints dry up if this was a barn find? Dude i bought it from got at an auction but in such good shape...

    that merc sounds like a deal, prob needs carb work. Compression is key, as is sark. My new spark box cost over $300. If h gets it running and still is around the $1000 mark - look into it.

    Sorry sir, wood rot takes years not a season or two. If i recall you had this on th water for one season. It was already rotted. You are in a tough spot, been there in my late 20s. 15 or so boats later i can say I'm still an idiot but i know a lot more about boats than i did then...

    Im in middle tn, if you need eyes on it lmk. There is also one in my town, sans engines, you could prob get for free as hes dropped to 2k last i saw. He knows how to ship I'm assuming as i saw a semi with a trailer that appeared to be set for a houseboat sitting next to the shop yesterday.
