    I believe the WOT Range for that engine would be 5000 -5500, so if you are getting 4800, too much Pitch Just a FYI, that 44 in block goes back to the late 50s

    4200, still on the Low Side, drop 2 inches in Pitch on the 3 blade, and you will notice much better hole shot, and maybe another mph

    Definitely need to go to a Lower Pitch, of course, I am assuming the engine is in good Mechanical shape, in tune, and able to make its rated HP

    I have had 2 Optima Red Tops, both failed, went back to wet cells. The Optima brand is marketed/distributed by Interstate, at least in Canada
