    Solar Power Installation . . .

Mt comment was for elsaylor who jumped your thread. He wants to recharge trolling motor batteries with your system.

    Mercury remote 881170A15

How many wires on the PTT motor? Solenoids only work with 3 wire (blue, green, black) PTT motors. Newer PTT motors often have only 2 wires. They need relays and some changes in wiring to work.

1993 50hp merc oil injection issue

Yes, you have a fuel pump driven by crankcase pulses and an injection pump driven by a gear on the crankshaft. If you trace the fuel line from the fuel tank, it enters the engine, goes to the fuel pump and then you will see the oil injection line join it on the outlet from the fuel pump, just...

    Another ‘No Spark’ questione

Disconnect the kill wires at the switchbox to be sure those are not inadvertently grounded by rubbing against the cowling or engine.

    Broken leaf spring

Gee, Jimmbo, all three leaves broke, and they are not even rusty. I would suggest you hit something real hard or the spring was undersized.

    Solar Power Installation . . .

100 Watts is a bit over 8 amps with full sunshine. If your trolling batteries are depleted you will need 10 hours of average sunshine to charge them. You can therefore fish every other day, if the weather cooperates. Is that your plan?

    Solar Power Installation . . .

10 watts? Gee, can anyone spell generator? For the price of the solar panel alone, you can get a nice quiet compact one. It will be much better for charging up trolling motor batteries after a day of fishing, as it don't care if the sun don't shine, and works at night too.

Outboard wont start after running for a while

Carb motor, right? Thesefore it sounds electrical to me. When she won't restart, check for spark at the spark plugs. All you have on that motor that is electrical is ignition.

    trailer manufacturer picks?

for salt water, it must be galvanized. Painted steel will rust and you won't be able to do a thing about it, no matter what you try. Load rite is pretty popular around here.

    Broken leaf spring

Sure, leaf springs break all the time. Usually they get all rusty and look like that have a kink starting. Replace it with the same kind or maybe a bit heavier. They are available on the web at east coast marine and other places.

1993 50hp merc oil injection issue

Right, the oil reservoir gravity feeds oil into the pump. The pump then pushes the oil thru a Y into the gasoline line. You might disconnect the pump output line and run the motor on premix and see if she pumps oil. Some Mercs have a plastic gear that drives the pump. These fail over time...

    Mercury outboard 150hp blackmax timing

Obviously at TDC the timing pointer should read TDC. You are supposed to Set/check the timing pointer. Do you have a .464" mark on the timing decal? if so, set the #1 piston to TDC using a screwdriver. Now measure from cylinder head to top of piston. Add that measurement to .464 inches...

    Dead Battery

Stereo systems often have a "always powered" connection to the battery for their "keep memory alive" for radio station presets. I would not expect this to have that large of a drain, but that could be part of it.

1993 50hp merc oil injection issue

You might have this moved to the Mercury repair forum. I thought those oiling systems were gravity feed, from the tank on the engine. They should easily bleed, I would think.

    Dead Battery

Yamaha owners manual says that motor has a 25A charging system. That charging rate is likely at high RPM, and the charging tapers off as the battery is charged, so 3 hours would in the ballpark to charge up from near dead. However, a Dingbat says, the battery is likely on it's way out, now...

    Dead Battery

Was it moored and you had lots of rain? The bilge pump ran the battery dead? If no obvious drain on power, something is amiss.

90Hp trim gauge reads backwards !

I do not think so, but it is not solving the problem. The real solution is that either you have the sender installed backward, or the gauge and sender are incompatible. You might consult the specs on each and see what reading zero ohms is supposed to give. Then do the same for max ohms.

90Hp trim gauge reads backwards !

Well, the only other alternative is that the trim sender is installed incorrectly. Not sure how that would happen. You could reverse ground and power at the gauge. I would think that would work...

90Hp trim gauge reads backwards !

Are the power and ground wires switched on the gauge? Did you switch them on the battery?
