    When you lost the spark the engine and the Switch Boxes were warm. When you tested them they had likely cooled down.     That must be why those new to boating keep asking if 150hp on a 16 ft boat is enough to pull a Skier. A 50hp 2 Stroke on the same size boat could pull a couple of people with ease, but not these Torqueless things sold these days

    Perhaps the Water Pump Housing and Plate are worn and need replacement. Was the old Impeller intact, or were pieces broken off? Are the Water Inlets on the Gearcase clear of Debris?

    So the hub was left on the Crank, and the 8 bolts that held the Flexplate to the Hub had been undone?

    You need the Factory Service Manual, it will have the Link and Sync process. Flywheel was off engine? Was the Flywheel and Hub off, or did someone just undo the 8 bolts that holds the Flex Plate to the Hub, leaving the hub on the crank shaft?
