    Yes, not a bad idea but not a smart one. Imo the incremental gain is not worth time and effort. You are right at the sweet spot for actual hp to recommended. I have a 50 hp on my 115 rated so i might bump up someday. If i was at a 90 or 100, no way id upgrade. What are you trying to...

    While the engine is tilted, push down hard. Should be zero flex on the transom. Bring a wrench and try to tighten the bolts holding the motor on. Should not be able to, if you can the wood in the transom is mush.

    i do miss snow. I'm from MO and if yer gonna be cold and grey all winter, snow makes it better. Just spent an hour towing the fake grandkid neighbor around the neighborhood on my garbage can lid behind the truck.
