    4.3 Mercruiser fuel supply issue

Removing the drive is easy for the most part With a Alpha drive move throttle full forward (don't use throttle only it needs to be in forward) Trim drive so it's straight up and down Remove pin from rear trim cylinders Remove six bolts holding drive and then slide drive out Might need a block...

    4.3 Mercruiser fuel supply issue

Your say "inboard" but thought you had a I/O If it's a I/O then remove the drive before jacking up motor If inboard, remove prop shaft coupling before jacking motor

    4.3 Mercruiser fuel supply issue

Understand, sometimes it's just to much for me also. If there is room, small bottle jack to lift that side of the motor just enough to remove the the motor mount. Or if you have a hoist

snapped driveshaft Mercury 2011 150 Optimax

The coming out of the water is what's doing it. The offshore racers has a dedicated throttle man, he pulls the throttles back every time a prop rev's increase above spec. Even those guys will break things when the props rev up and then hit the water again

Mercruiser 5.7 MCM carb low idling

This should not happen. The temp switch should stay closed and pass current when motor is OFF. The current only stops flowing when the motor cools down.

Depends which carb and which 4.3 LX, several have been made of different designs The idle adjust is located on the same piece that the throttle linkage is attached to. Should be below it

Mystery Knock -- Insurance and Warrantee

The oil temp will always be hotter then water temp. So long as temp stays below 300* it won't burn and still lubricate Most small block won't have a oil cooler on them and big blocks do. My 530hp showed water temps was normal but after installing a oil temp gauge, found oil was over 300* when...

What was the boat doing when it happened? If the prop came out of the water and rev'ed high it will break things when it comes back in the water

2007 Merc 5.0 TKS stalled at speed, had to be towed

I doubt it because you said the diode was overheating (Post 2 pic). If it was shorted out you wouldn't be able to turn the motor off. Blowing the fuse and diode getting hot leads me to the TKS module

Mercruiser 5.7 MCM carb low idling

Hey Roy your real hard to understand, maybe take some more time typing I'll try to translate what I think Roy means Your impeller needs to be change every 2 to 3 years, if it has not been changed do so now Did you use a IR temp gun to measure thermostat housing to verify 175* on the gauge? A...
