    odd..... parts on oldies is usually available it is the new stuff like early ETEC injectors are scarce. been using 87 e10 for over 30 years withiout issues if it does not sit 6-12 months

    and ten miles out in wild country a kicker is always a good friend to have. it is not always a fuel saving issue. my 75 ETC burns .6l/h trolling yet my 9.5 turtle drink equal or more !

    if the impeller /water tube section is ok .try REVERSE air blow out starting at the water EXIT points I have never tried it myself but you may be able to fish a mono line all the way across the water entry to the exit points shown the picture above or possibly vice versa ...

    you can run without 19... the linkage just brings the adjustment capabilities to the front so just set it manually for now by turning the needle only for now you can try just a coat of "liquide tape" to get you going ... main thing is to get it to run properly ...cometics can come...

    see if you can blow out the water passages... possibly an old rubber piece stuck inside with the power head off try to fish a mono line from a weed wacker in the available opennings incl the watre tube

    well part 35 should be in .... just close the needle shut than back it out 1.5 turns or so glad you got it purring... try to adjust it to idle and run ok without the carb cover #27 and needle linkages install cover# 27 after it runs ok adjustment

    dont make this to scientific.... clean the points , clean the carb, check compression, remove any kill wires choke it and open up the idle screw a bit more. btw did you inspect clean the idle chamber under the dime size plug on top ?? (see #5) check for broken tip on the LS needle in...

    depending how much use of it you make every year .... try some synthetic oil like xd-100 $$$$ but it contains carbon guard , no smoke no smell best oil ever for ETECs you can buy Carbon Guard on it's own at the EV product dealers if you don`t want to buy $$$$ XD-100 oil to mix...

    re paint of 1966 johnson 6hp

    experts will chime in but .... yellow zinc chromate primer .. paint is needed ...from what I read anyway for aluminum .. probably best to blast all the paint off and start fresh
