    I would pull the motor and tear it down. My guess is you need a new bobtail If the motor was submerged, the steering cable, wiring harness, and rotating electrics will need replacement as well

    yes, the 3.7 uses a GM flywheel bolt pattern same as 4.3. you do have to change the u-joint shaft. the 3.0 is under powered and nearly the same weight as the V6.
