    cradle. I built mine on top of my bunk trailer for the Avanti using plywood and dimensional lumber. a standard bunk trailer will not have enough support for a restoration. Especially if you pull the cap. think of a tuperware container. once you pull the lid, you can squish the rim around.

    did a quick search of some of the ATV forums. it appears it was a common issue back 15 years ago. this one states that it was "adjusted" and the noise went away. https://www.michigan-sportsman.com/threads/polaris-hawkeye-engine-noise.182694/ couldnt find anything on the adjustment.

    make a cradle pull the cap put on a tyvek suit with at least a half-face respirator, gloves, goggles, etc. fire up the saws

    step 1 is remove the drive then using a lifting C-frame, lift the motor out.

    hose clamps to clamp two of them together. ductape wont hold, heat shrink wont hold. zip ties may hold.

    outboards are nearly the same from one HP to the other within a given displacement. the I/O folks have a block manual, an EFI manual, a drive manual, and a controls manual. all about 400 pages thick
