    Many folks are confused with throttle cam adjustment.-----To the untrained a gap between the cam and the follower just does not seem correct.-----Mot outboards in good condition run with a gap between follower and cam.

    Post #2 seems to suggest that you need to install a new impeller.----Many folks are not aware that outboards need a new impeller about every 5 years.-----And there are still many sellers that will fire up a motor at the end of the driveway.----No water to cool the impeller !!

    there was a service bulletin in 1994 to move telltale to the top of the block.

    Does the hose for the telltale come off the side of the block or the top ?

    It only sounds great on muffs.----They all " bark and roar " even running on 2 of 3 cylinders.----Or a V-6 running on 4 or 5 of 6 sounds wonderful.
