    I don't run a choke, my motor runs about 550 RPM cold (after running about 1000 RPM for a minute with some throttle), Bout 650 RPM warm. That is on land or in the water

    Most likely it's the soft rubber breaking down. Plastic and rubber only survives 5-10 years before breaking down

    This are not externally adjustable You can remove the bowls without pulling the carb if you need.
