A few instruments and gauges not working

That depends on "IF" spot 8 did power the gauges. If it did power the gauges then yes it should fix your issue. Now, most gauges are powered from the motor feed and not an auxiliary feed like what this one looks like. So again it will work if that is where the power comes from There is only...

    hard to run

As you know, if its not getting gas its not going to run. You sprayed gas in and it still will not run. Suggest doing a compression test and then need to find out if your getting good spark

    Trim/Tilt gauge is sticking

Your tapping on the gauge may have been coincidence. In most cases its the trim sensor on the outdrive and not the gauge. If it is the gauge, it just needs to be replaced, don't know of anyone repairing them, and most likely its cost prohibitive.

    Starter issues

Probably a bad connection. If not that then either the key switch or the slave relay Look on the motor for a smaller wire coming off the starter and going to a relay, that would be the slave

Alternator Question - Only +13V when Moving

Either ALT will work in your case, but a 65 amp will not work as hard (so to speak) to produce the same lower charge output. That said I doubt you will need another for a long time

Engine dies after running for several minutes

Condensers do last, but I always change because its a cheap item. Correct there is no resistor coil. Measuring the voltage will tell us if its loosing power and if running correctly. Might be something simple as a bad connection or my key switch

Vortec 5.7 Intake Manifold Sealing Recommendations

The best way is with the motor serial number. If not on top the motor, look above the starter for a plate. The white stuff is thread sealant
