    because you have points, the first thing you need to do is file them to get the layer of corrosion off the terminals from sitting. then rough gap, set dwell with a meter, then set timing. that is the downside to points is you have to do that every spring.

    Anything is restorable/salvageable To restore the boat, plan on spending about $7-10k and a year or two of your life Then you will have a $5000 boat New trailers are only $2200. If you can get $500 for the trailer with the boat on it so you do not have to pay disposal fees, I would do that.

    get a bucket of berrymans carb cleaner. do not use simple green, vinegar, etc. that carb has ethanol turning back into corn, water, varnish, and other crud in it. each passage will need to have a piece of monofilament run thru it to verify it is clean
