So what did you do on the motor? How did you "rebuild" the carbs? Did you do a link-n-sync? What is the compression numbers? What did you goober JB on (because that is never a repair) Have you checked your fuel for contamination?

@Bondo I would have deleted the guys post. Then again, we could probably agree that post should have been locked after Don's original response in post #2 Maybe a forum rule locking posts that are clearly against the safety standards of IMO / USCG Col Regs

    Boat weight

I would plan on digging a hole and turning it into a koi pond with the motor in it. the 153 cubic inch 120hp motor is nothing special or desirable and the 1991 and later 3.0 (181 cubic inch) motors are dirt cheap and 100000% better the boat isnt worth it. the boat probably weighted 1700# or...

    Boat weight

I would not even consider buying the boat unless you want a really expensive project. OMC has not been in business for decades, and the hull will need restoration before it can be used. that boat will cost you more than $8000+ and 2 years + of your time to get to a point to be safe and usable...

Adding hydronic cabin heat from a AQ140A engine

You need to figure out how much extra volume you are adding. Determine what 8% of that is. Then determine if that extra 8% of expansion will cause an issue such as expelling too much coolant. If your motor utilizes a puke tank, you may need a bigger one.
