I look at it this way. Personally, I will never buy a new boat as I dont have enough scheckles in the coin purse. I will never buy a new vehicle for myself as I want a manual transmission, LSD, rear wheel drive, and a tight turning radius and I dont want electronics/touch screens/etc...

1996 Johnson 225 with dual Binnacle control, lack reverse throttle range

Look at your cable routing, you are binding the shift cable at the helm with your mounting. So stick your head underneath the helm and see if your shift linkage is hitting the steering cable or other helm bits

Hello all, I want to install a remote oil filter mount for my 4.3 V6, is it neccessary to replace the filter mount bypass valve?

The reason for the higher 30psi vs 11psi bypass is so the extra pressure drop on the remote lines and filter head don't open the bypass and the oil doesn't get filtered Typical pressure drop across a filter is 4-7 psi. Adding the remote lines, etc adds about 4-5 psi

On you motor, just inbolt the threaded block adapter and swap it. As @Scott06 stated, just don't drop in the bilge

Hello all, I want to install a remote oil filter mount for my 4.3 V6, is it neccessary to replace the filter mount bypass valve?

All the same. I have a twin-filter unit on my big block as I am running a HVHP pump. Transdap filter head and a Canton racing block adapter I also have the local hydraulic company make up my oil lines vs buying the ones in the kit. my home made parts washer used to have a single Transdap...

    3.8 OMC replacement motors?

exact same motor, exact same drive (there were no 3.8's in 1985, only left over 1984's registered as 1985's) I would buy the whole thing for spare parts as the shift cable alone is $950.

Hello all, I want to install a remote oil filter mount for my 4.3 V6, is it neccessary to replace the filter mount bypass valve?

I would personally feel much better swapping out the 11 psi bypass check for the 30 psi bypass check. if it was my motor, I would swap it.
