    I would never use ball hones.------Ball hones hide the imperfections in the cylinders.------Makes you think you have good cylinders when in fact there might be issues.

    About the only difference is the linkages on the outside of the carburetors.-----As far as metering the fuel into the airstream they both work the same.-----What is your motor doing / not doing ?

    There is no alternator on this motor.----Use a puller with 3 bolts 1/4-20NC to pull the FLYWHEEL.----The 3 bolt holes around the crankshaft are to be used.

    Your local machine shop might have ( believe it or not ) a product called " honing oil "----Mine does and I pick up about 2 liters at a time.-----Or use google to find some DIY substitutes for that fine product.-----Use ---sunnen honing oil ----in your search !

    Tested with cowling off ?-----Spark is known to short circuit to the latches on these V-4 engines.-----Switching wires around might help.

    You must use a sealer with low " filler " content.----Most if not all of the sealer squeezes out .----That gets you metal to metal contact.-----Needed for proper bearing clamp up.

    Use a dremel type tool to cut / weaken the seal.-----It will come out easily then.
