    if you remove the motor, yes, you can tighten the y-pipe. however they dont just loosen up by themselves. check the transom.

    welcome aboard. sounds like you have two issues. the squealing and the steering pulling to the left. check your alternator bearings and power steering pump as well as the belt. regarding the pulling to the left. does the boat list a bit? if it does, could be weight issue, or wet foam issue
