    Gas line size

the additional restriction in the line may not effect performance initially, however it will shorten the life of the fuel pump. remember, going from .31" to .25" is a reduction in area of 33% (0.050 sq inches vs 0.075 sq inches) since the area is now 0.66 that it was, and the restriction goes...

Searching for LOWE'S SEA NYMPH SC175BL Owners Manual Content

what material are you looking for? 99.9% of the boat manuals are just a 4 page safety brochure indicating that the pointy end is the bow, don't go swimming at the prop end with the motor running and a list of servicing dealers. now, obtaining both an operation and maintence manual along with...

    Mounting twin outboards to inflatable

adding 2 20hp motors does a few things: it overly complicates your boat it adds unnecessary weight. not to mention that you will run into the tubes at certain angles of tilt and steering. having two motors does double the chances of something going wrong. I would just buy one of these, put...

7.4 mph misfire when throttle up

in high school, we used to take a pencil and draw a line on the inside of a distributor cap as one of the troubleshooting tests in Autos class. that little carbon trail was enough to cause a motor not to start

Looking at a boat with Volvo power

Reylar is the 8.1 source regardless if MC or VP However a NA 540 or 572 (stroked 502) would be a better all-round motor than one with a huffer. And about 3k cheaper Megasquirt is one sure-fired way to grenade a boat motor. Remember, you have to run a boat motor rich, not at stoich

    1976 OMC 190 FORD electrical

Because the motor is where it is, moisture gets in there. Remove the motor and open it up. It may just need cleaning. Or it may need replacing

Looking at a boat with Volvo power

gear ratio is different between an SBC and BBC. if going BBC, I would pick a 8.2/502 vs the 8.1/396 just because the 8.1 production stopped in 2008 by GM (volvo had inventory and kept offering until 2011) agree with Ted here, buy the boat you want/need vs forcing something

Newbie considering buying 1992 Tracker Magna w/o outboard

remember, the old 2-stroke that was on the boat will be much lighter than the motor you are thinking of. also, the transoms tended to rot on the Bass Trackers. check that well before your purchase. that is not an easy thing to replace in the boat as you must have welding and fabrication skills
