Total boat electrical refit - looking for advice

10 feet cable run, so 20 feet total? or 10 feet apart and 15 foot cable run or 30 feet total. measure the total path the cable will be installed. multiply by two. that is total cable run. with your 70hp OMG, and assuming 25 foot total run, I would be comfortable with 2 gauge

Total boat electrical refit - looking for advice

you are going to need some long and heavy cables from each battery to a battery switch. depending on your motor and the length of the boat, to combine the two in the front with the one in the back for a load at the back (starting the motor), you will need to have some really beafy cables. lets...

    Boat TLC questions

if the dash is plastic, the chaulkiness is from the loss of oils in the surface and the plastic is breaking down. I would use what you have as a plug to make a mold to make new ones out of fiberglass regarding the switches, if they are carling, just pop off the actuators and buy new ones...

    AQ290 Y-Pipe corrosion repair / replacement

depending on the corrosion, the bolts come out pretty well. from the factory they were coated in Permatex #3 (aviation sealer) with the motor out, I would smack each of the bolt heads with a hammer to break any corrosion to the old y-pipe itself. then when you get the new to you y-pipes ready...
