    The crankcase halves fall apart if al the bolts are out.-----You do have the intake manifold / reed valves off ?-----Best to keep the hammer and spreader tools away from this fine motor

    Make sure you have a big battery.----Load test the battery.-----Take starter apart for inspection.----Test the starter armature for short to ground.

    What happens when you put hand in front of the upper carburetor on the right ?----Does motor speed up ?------Does motor stumble ?-----No difference in running ?----Note----The carburetors on the right side feed the 2 cylinders on the left side !

    Go with the 13" pitch.----Dealer might even suggest 11" [pitch.

    Likely the screen in front of the oil pump has disintegrated.----Pieces now stuck in the shift piston bore and the spring can not put it in forward.----Needs a teardown I say.-----These units are very simple to repair.-----But some will dispute my opinion !

    Just bought a my first boat. Need some help!

    They market an oil made to their specification.----BRP does not run a refinery.------I think they now have a different brand ( XPS marine ? ) other than BRP for their oil too.
