    Throttle plates is what you speak of.-----The reed valves are not part of / installed in the carburetor.----Look into the carburetor and see if the throttle plates are horizontal at full throttle on your control.

    Glue 2 pieces of wire on a piece of cardboard / plywood.----Any well insulated wire with 5/16" gap.-----Stick one end in the plug boot.----The other end grounded on the block.
