    first, I wouldnt screw into the HDPE. screws rip out really easy. second, contact the manufacturer of the dock system and obtain their cleat support blocks.

    best is to follow the manual. there is a block drain, center of block, just above the pan rail on both sides. drain them, the exhaust manifolds, the raw water pump and the large hose optional, if you want to add antifreeze for corrosion protection, add -100F antifreeze. not the pink RV stuff...

    Never run without cooling water. You burn up the rubber bits in the exhaust Exhaust with cooling water is about 220 degrees. Exhaust without cooling water is about 1000 degrees

    The deck should have had fiberglass sealing it. My guess you will find the plywood over the original deck. Known as a deck-over. The equivalent of a shady used car place filling in rust with duct tape and bondo and givit it an earl scheib paint job.

    you only nee a 1/4 or 5/16 drill bit. drill into the transom about 1" deep, about 1" above the hull, near the drain. and a few further out. drill a few in the stringers about 2" above the hull and only 5/8" deep. if your shavings come out light-colored, dry, and smelling like fresh cut wood...

    Rule of thumb is you can rais 1" for every 4" of set back. So with 10" of set back, that is only 2.5" and not 5"
