    Many different pumps will work on the 9.5 HP model.---The repair kit fits all those wee square pumps.----I just order the diaphragm by itself.----That is about the only item that can fail on these.

    You are looking at the nearly world famous ---BROKEN RING ---syndrome.----Every one of these motors will suffer the same fate as hours build up.----You need 4 O/S pistons and rings.----Lower unit inspection.---Carburetors.---Cooling system ETC.

    It should start no problem then.----Put manual choke on.-----Then wrap a rope around the flywheel.--Turn key on.-----Give it a good pull.---Should bark and roar for you.

    Silicone is a bad sign ------I suggest taking it apart before launching the boat.------Needs the impeller inspected or a new one installed.

    You are not looking in the right years for the kit !!!-----That pump was used for many years and many models.----Start looking under the newer model 9.9 / 15 HP until you come to the year / parts page where they do list the repair kit.-----Sorry this is all simple to me !----Or pick a new pump...

    Take a rifle and shoot through bottom of boat.------Careful and use only 1 bullet.-----Do not put a second hole in the boat as that might let the water back out.

    A lot of electronics are obsolete shortly after they go into production.----Mind boggling this stuff.----The rotary dial telephone ( did just one thing ) was good enough for 50 years or so.----Today folks get a new phone every year.

    Make no assumptions when repairing your outboard motor.----You say there are no leaks and yet you are seeing bubbles ??----And there are no bubbles when you operate the bulb.----That tells me something !
