    your running out of fuel check your fuel pressure you most likely have a restriction before the pump could be plugged anti siphon valve could be debris in the pickup tube could be plugged tank vent always test and diagnose prior to replacing parts.

    Load is load, engine doesnt know if its spinning a low pitch prop pushing a big boat or a high pitch prop pushing a small boat. It only knows RPM and BMEP What is the max RPM the v-drive is rated for. Because at 3200 RPM, the motor has another 2000 RPM to go

    Way too high RPM at idle is 650 What is your compression on all 8 cylinders? What is your fuel pressure? What did you set the dwell to? Did you rebuild the carb from sitting? Did you clean the fuel tank If not, start there Your motor is not running right. Its nowhere near "dialed in"
