    1985 mercurial 3.0 130hp piston

that is what happens when you have detonation from improper timing and or running lean. that rattle you were hearing was your motor eating itself. additionally your temp is way too high 140F for a carbureted motor and raw water cooling, 160F for a carbureted motor and heat exchanged cooling.

    Steering maintenance

same reason there are no grease fittings under your car in the garage. because maintenance points are deemed a detriment by consumer reports and those selling new cars/boats/atv's/etc. so if there is no maintenance required for the design life, it gets a better rating. its all about pushing...

rubber impeller pumps are only self-priming if they are below the water line. they do not "suck" water or "pump" water, they only push water did you backflush with water or just air. if air, you need a lot of air (as in about 500 CFM of air at high pressure (think of a pumpkin cannon) a...

is this the searay with the I/O in your signature? if so, are you sure you have slop and not just suffering v-hull bow wander? this occurs between idle and when you are up on plane on all single engine v-hull boats. a single prop will cause the back of the boat to push to one side, until the...
