    you cant use springs from one manufacturer and expect them to work on another manufacturers distributor and expect them to work. only way to "experiment" is with a sunnen distributor machine.

    yes. the 6 bolts on the AQ PDS housing clamp are accessible only from the outside, and only when you have the drive off (or at least the upper gear box/transmission off). the system is sealed with two rubber donuts you will need to buy new.

    make sure to file the points with a points file or you can use your wifes nail file use the gap as a rough set use the dwell meter to get you dialed in

    once you have the drive off, the clamp ring is around the PDS housing sticking thru the transom. the front lag bolts should go into a big block of wood and fiberglass mounting to the stringers and the hull.

    the first one is a -3ORB to -4JIC the second is a -4ORB to -4JIC 90 degree elbow both common hydraulic fittings if you look at goodridge pre-crimped brake lines, they are available in #3 and #4 and come pre-crimped. see your local race shop put heat srink tubing over the steel fitting, or...

    the serial number is on the side of the motor just above the starter. it will be on a tag that is riveted to the block take your alternator off the motor and take it to a starter/alternator repair shop and have tested.

    Pull the dizzy, knock the roll pin out of the gear, pull the inner shaft, look in the housing. All dizzys have bushings, and napa has generic bushings for dizzys cheap
