    Alpha 1 still not engaging reverse!!!

    So, to recap, I had replaced the bell housing gasket and then reverse wouldnt engage. Pulled the lower unit, and reinstalled making sure the prop was locked on fwd all the time. Nothing.     1985 alpha 1 gen 1 won't kick into gear, engine shuts off.

    I have a 1985 alpha one drive that i took out to replace u joint gasket and bell housing gasket, upon putting it back, I try to kick into forward gear, and the engine just shuts off. If I try to shift into reverse, the engine just revs up but does not engage into gear. What am I missing..?

    I need to repair some chips on my fiberglass hull.

    I need some info on products to repair to chips on my fiberglass hull, I bought the boat with the chips, and they are about 1/2 inch to maybe 3/4 inch long, not very wide. concentrated to the bow, right below the bow eye. I have never done this kind of repair ever, so any help appreciated. Les.
