Looking to replace missing Chapparal Cushion

Chaparral doesn't even have parts available for current production boats. When I lost a cushion I went to a place that does boat interiors and covers.

    Can I replace a Mercruiser 5.0L with a 4.5L engine?

That drop in horsepower will really slow down your boat. Plus as already mentioned you are better off just getting a rebuilt motor with the same specs. No use reinventing the wheel, especially if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

    Is AARP worth it???

Not sure if it matters to you, but they are very anti-gun.

    Head holding tank pump out

Another thing to consider is the time savings. I pump mine out and dump it down a sewer cleanout in the alley behind the house. As a side note I would never even consider using a shop vac.

    Head holding tank pump out

I use a Todd Waste Caddy that holds 29 gallons. However I purchased it in 2005 and they have gone up in price a lot since then.

Ever buy a boat to big for your garage.

Our old carport fit our first boat just fine. We knew our second boat would be 6 inches too tall to fit the carport, so we had it replaced with a new carport that was 2 feet taller. The Karens in the neighborhood went insane, even though there is no HOA. Ended up making enemies for life.

    Wandering heading at slow speed

Ours still wanders, but a lot less than our last boat which had a 1986 OMC stringer mount, which even did it when new.

What percentage of the overall price is the $3000 difference ? If it is small and you really like/want the boat, just purchase it.

I use the same Mobil 1 filter on my tow truck and my boat. When I can't find a Mobil 1 I have used Wix.

    Pressfit Trailer Lights are Stupid!

The holes cut out of your trailer are too big. As mentioned by XS Power, just silicone them in.

    Torque Roll?

My last boat had a similar problem. When cruising I would have people move around to level things out.

    SEI OUTDRIVE

It takes longer to ask the question, than to just do it to be sure.

23-24 foot vs 26-28 foot pros and cons?

When we purchased our boat we wanted something around 22-23 feet long with a real head in it. After a year of looking the shortest we could find was 26 feet. Had to get a bigger tow vehicle and had to raise our carport so it would fit. Previously we had a 1/2 ton truck and an 18' Seaswirl Cuddy...

Need advice for when to pull the trigger on new purchase

The best time to purchase a boat around here is fall and winter.

    I can relate to this!

I had an old junk tool box filled with over 200 pounds of nuts and bolts off of 64-70 Ford Mustangs. Figured it was safe on my back porch, but someone carried it all off about 30 years ago.

    Cushions

If you ask Chaparral, they will tell you to contact your dealer. Your dealer will tell you that they can't get anything for a boat more than a year old.

    Chaparral Sundeck

    Won't find OEM anything for a 2007.

    2004 21 Seaswirl Striper

As already mentioned, that is underpowered. If the boat is otherwise in good condition, and at a good price, you could always sell the outboard if it is too small for you.
