A Soldier, a Sailor, an Airman and a Marine got into an argument about which branch of the service was The Best. The arguing became so heated the four servicemen failed to see an oncoming truck as they crossed the street. They were hit by the truck and killed instantly. Soon, the four...

    Upgrade issues list .....low priority

Rather than generate a lot of random posts that the MODS and ADMINS have to sort through, I thought I might be proactive and start a thread so that they can find these items easily and get to them as they have time. Must be an interesting and challenging workplace at present. :D Feel free to...

    Electric heater problem

1500 watt wall mount....240V. Wiring is all fine, T/stat tests OK. No heat. Turning off the breaker and turning back on will "reactivate" the heater. There is only the thermal cut-out "module" left that could be the fault. How common is it for these to go wonky?

    The Montana cowboy

A cowboy was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture in Montana when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, RayBan sunglasses and YSL tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, "If I tell you...

    Santa is a Woman

I hate to be the one to defy sacred myth, but I believe Santa Claus is a woman. Think about it: Christmas is a big, organized, warm, fuzzy, nurturing, social deal, and I have a tough time believing a guy (and a "straight' guy at that!) could possibly pull it all off! For starters, the vast...

    Tecumseh engine Gurus....carb specialists

Bought what appears to be an excellent used snowblower (but wayyyy bigger than I need). Engine did not start, oil was clean, compression was OK, gas was cruddy, the guy was sure that it was gummed up over the summer, and knocked $50- off for the carb repair costs. Cleaned the carb well, hit the...

Outboard Oil in 'Other' 2-Stroke Engines?

Re: Outboard Oil in 'Other' 2-Stroke Engines? Oil threads are always a hot button. Still, describing your practical experiences, going against the flow, is useful input to forums like this. If you want to state that "this is what I run in my engines despite manufacturer's recommendations...."...
