How/where do I find part numbers?

The sender I received today looks identical to the stainless one rolmops linked to in an earlier reply. I swapped it in and tested the float/gauge operation before mounting it in the tank. Gauge now responds smooth & linear to float movement. Tank depth is 7.5" from gasket to bottom of tank...

    4.3 diesling

2000 Bayliner Capri 1850LX 4.3L carbureted engine, A1 G2 outdrive. Only had this boat for 10 days so far. Starts right up, runs smooth... In fact during the test drive I was surprised to see a carb & a distributer on it. No hour meter so I have no idea how many hours. It's pretty clean & this...

Merc Alpha One trim/tilt Q (feeling like a newby)

Thanks for the practical feedback. This has been a real PITA for me. I have muck mats on that side of my dock and when I lower the unit to the top of the normal trim limit it's still low enough that the skeg has impaled the mat. Boat isn't going anywhere with a 4X12 trampoline attached to it...

Having lived my entire life in the Detroit area northern Michigan is a great place to spend retirement. It's everything Detroit isn't--clean, quiet, thinly populated, no traffic, peaceful lakes.

I think I'll take a pass on mounting a trolling motor here.

How/where do I find part numbers?

The manual link is to a small supplement to the OM. The actual manual isn't available *anywhere*.

I probably don't have the luxury of docking this way. My lake is pretty shallow at my dock so I have to trim full up when I get close to keep from stirring up the muck. I usually shut it down and drift in till the lower leg drags, then I hop off and walk it to the dock. Doesn't look cool...

How/where do I find part numbers?

Hmmm. Most the ones I looked at... Sierra, Seasense, etc on Amazon, eBay or most parts websites were 240-33ohms. I ordered one from Amazon that came up when I searched UFW-6.5. I found this same sensor (with clearer markings) used on similar sized & powered boats. For $30 I'll find out at the...

How/where do I find part numbers?

Well if senders are kinda universal then maybe the smudged marking on it reads UMW 6½ And there are 6.5 senders. Should work? This forum won't let me attach a photo.

How/where do I find part numbers?

2000 Bayliner 1850LX. I need a fuel level sender so I don't get stranded in the middle of the lake again. Where do I find part numbers for stuff in & on the boat itself? Engine stuff--no problem. Outdrive--no problem. I can't find squat on hull parts. Clue me in where to look.

Merc Alpha One trim/tilt Q (feeling like a newby)

The Bayliner support page has a link for my year & model but it turns out to be a supplement. The supplement says to refer to the Owner's Manual for complete information. I regularly buy old stuff and normally have had success locating SOMETHING. Bayliner never published a digital manual, or...

Merc Alpha One trim/tilt Q (feeling like a newby)

He bought the boat this year from a dealer... All this was done and the bellows replaced. I can still see thru the oil on the dipstick. Seller decided a pontoon was more his speed.

Merc Alpha One trim/tilt Q (feeling like a newby)

This boat that followed me home yesterday came with no manual, and so far I haven't found one to download... So I'm asking from ignorance, not stupidity. Lol My dock sits in shallow water. When motoring in to dock I need to trim all the way up to keep from dragging the prop. Once tied up I then...

Is it also typical of an I/O powered sport boat to constantly need correction when idling along in gear? It just refuses to go straight. Feels like an old pickup truck with worn out tie rod ends.

I need to check the idle rpm with my digital timing light. The analog gauge has no resolution at idle. Could be 600, could be 800. Sounds like low rpm, tho. Deep & throaty.
