    Replacing Keel rollers

Picture is above the boat is resting on the bunks flush but not in contact with roller once mounted on the trailer. I was thinking the boat should be in contact with the rollers and the bunks as Chris mentioned which visually thinking about it, should roll off/on easier. I could be wrong. I was...

    Replacing Keel rollers

I think if the boat was on the rollers more it would glide right up/down the trailer when on the ramp.

    Replacing Keel rollers

@Chris1956 I purchase 3 entire bracket with the roller attached. I will go with 3 instead of 4. I was purchasing everything individually and it came out to be about 10 buck cheaper to buy the entire bracket with the rod and roller. From the looks at my roller rod it is bolted on not press like...

    Looking at 8hp and 15hp 4stroke Merc

THis would be a nice to have to control from helm but not going that route. Steering is all I need. I can change gear and rpm manually if needed. I am on the Chesapeake bay and this is mainly going to be used to troll and encase the main has some issues I can try to make it back on the kicker...

    Looking at 8hp and 15hp 4stroke Merc

My plan is to go with a lower pitch from what I have read. I will start from starch and see which way it will takes me. I was mostly seeing what other items I would possibly need in making these changes other than a few grand.

    Looking at 8hp and 15hp 4stroke Merc

I will be installing a bracket for it. I will see how it works without the arm and if needed I will investigate prices and installations. Thanks

    Looking at 8hp and 15hp 4stroke Merc

today for my 23 WA as a kicker for trolling, drifting and emergency situations. I notice that some have steering arms from the main engine to steer the kicker when its underload. Is the steering arm necessary? I have been reading that the main engine can act as a rudder when submerge and running...

03 150 xl sw 3 gal oil reservoir

In the process of updating battery wiring and decided to get a rigging tube and reroute my cables inside the non-split 2" wire loom. My question pertains to the 3 gal oil reservoir cap that runs to the emergency reservoir on the engine side. IF I remove that cap with the hose (on the 3 gal res)...

    Bulkhead behind helm 23' walkaround

I am in the process of moving batteries from the stern to the cabin and I decided to remove all the carpet out of the cabin. While determining where and how to place the batteries I thought this would be a good time to try and add some plano storage compartments within the cabin since I removed...

    Chartplotter/FF Wire size

@dingbat so you have dedicated wires for your plotter and ff. That is what I wanted to know, those who run their items on a dedicated line not just wiring it to the fuse panel with the other accessories sharing the same pos/neg feed. Mines is currently wired to the fuse block which powers the...

    Chartplotter/FF Wire size

Wanted to know what gauge wire is anyone using for their plotter or fish finder? If you are running straight to the fuse block with other accessories, with respect I do not want to hear about those. I was reading Garmin support my echomap and they recommend : Up to 4.6 m (15 ft.): 10 AWG (5.26...
