    I have a temp guage that has no numbers...just green, yellow, and red. I'd like to have a better idea of what temp she's actually running. My question is, if I replace the gauge do I need to replace the sending unit as well?

    Trimming questions

    My trim on my rig has little or no effect while I'm on plane. Changing the trim setting might bring the bow up 5-7 degrees before performance begins to fall off. Other than getting the leg out of the way for trailering or in the shallows what is the real purpose? Why would I want to trim up?

    What would you do?

    Considering mooring the boat at a marina about an hour away. No electric hook-ups available. I will install a float switch for the bilge but without electricity to power a trickle charger I'm afraid the bilge will run down the battery...and if the battery runs down...well, you get the rest...

    Retreiving in a crosswind

    Had a hard time today getting my boat back on the trailer. There was a pretty good crosswind and I couldn't keep her off the dockside. Ended up walking the winchline out to it and just winching her aboard. I'm missing something here.

    '91 228 Concept

    5.8L OMC Cobra New to this. What should I look out for on this rig? It seems mechanically sound but what do I really know. Motor starts right up with a muff on it. Oil pressure is good, temp is good, charging good. Shift lever operates freely.
