    I figured it had more to do with the center console/tiller thing than the nasty foam. I will see if i can add some weight under the decking to compensate.

    New gasket Saturday, installed today. Pumps great. Took motor to river and this thing FLIES! I’m not sure I’ve got much higher top end speed but she jumps right up on plane which is what I was looking for. Now to replace some of those motor mounts!

    319665 is the one i bought and installed (which is leaking). It is missing the little chunk in the upper port side corner of the gasket. I thought it was odd it was missing but everything else matched up. It is not correct.

    327674 I believe is the part i need. Strange because this part starts being used in 1982. This 1977 still has the external coils and doesn't use the powerpacks yet.

    And we’re back in business!!! Now I’m on the hunt for a different water jacket gasket. This one I ordered matched exactly what’s in the schematics on Crowley marine but it is missing one of the bolt ones on my 77 power head. Didn’t even realize it was wrong because it a perfect fit!
