    Favorite Slalom Ski Prop ?

I know I should probably post this in a different forum, but I was interested in what you lake skiers use on your outboard ski boats. I use a 15p Aluminum right now - pulls fine, but looking at 13 and 14 pitch in Stainless for just a little more acceleration. Stiletto and Powertech seem to...

anyone use the RED3 prop ?

been talking to powertech and they recommended this prop - are any of you using ? the stainless I have seems to be a bow lifter and I don't like how it responds to steering when i trim up. Looking for feedback on anyone using this prop with an outboard.

    How to determine prop pitch?

Re: How to determine prop pitch? i have one force prop that has the pitch stamped on the front edge of the blade right where it goes into the hub. see example pic Also if you have the plastic flare on the end of the prop you need to take that off and look under it to see the front of the...

Re: Fuel pump diaphragm so what parts do i need to pick up ? #15 and #16 ? Sorry, for some reason the pump rebuild seems confusing to me.

    Interesting lower unit fact

Been thinking of picking up a 85 hp lower unit and I was reading my Clymers manual this weekend and I ran across this info. Maybe you already knew it, but i though it was cool. The 85 hp and 125 hp force engines lower units (1 piece shaft) are stamped on the lower unit near fill hole with a 3...

    Fuel pump diaphragm

Whats up guys, I have a 1985 Force 125 and haven't changed the fuel pump diaphragm. I thought about doing it - not sure if this will help me or not - motor runs fine for the most part. Is it easy to do ? Are there any videos to help me with this ? just planning for spring :)

    4 blade for skiing

Re: 4 blade for skiing Your funny! - But i hear ya - I grew up skiing behind a 15' Mark Twain with a 1973 Merc 115 (Tower of Tower!) I remember my dad picking up that sucker and putting it on - it was 1350.00 brand new. Those prices are long gone! And boy that Merc could fly - i have very...

    4 blade for skiing

I have a Force 125 engine and am thinking of going 4 blade next year - I think I have found a prop that will work but I'm pretty sure the anode will hit the webs in the prop. So I'm thinking of just taking it off - will that hurt anything to just not have it ? I only run fresh water lakes...

Looking for a little bigger ski

Re: Looking for a little bigger ski Nothing wrong at all and I liked it skiing at 28 mph. Shortline and Sequence are basically the same ski mold - but the Sequence is just a lot prettier - ha ha. Connelly says the Outlaw and Shortline in 67" are good up to 210. Obrien says the sequence is...

Looking for a little bigger ski

I have an O'Brien World Team Ski at 68" and I'm 220 - I can get up on it successfully now using a deep v rope and 2 feet in the bindings. I've rode is about 5 or 6 times now, but I still feel the ski is a little too small for me and I feel like I'm dragging too much when up. Anything under 28...

how to repair fiberglass ski ?

Hi Guys, I took a fall yesterday over top the slalom ski. I'm guessing the rope must have hit b/c there is a dime size chunk missing on the side and also another area about 1" long about the same place toward the tip of the ski. Not sure how it happened b/c the rope is pretty padded...

    Combo Skis for Slalom

Hi guys, been skiing 2 skis all my life. Got up 20+ years ago on 1 a few times but I'm alot heavier now - around 210 lbs. Been using some old wood water skis - fine for 2 skis but I can't get up with 1 - they are not big enough (64") Anyhow was looking at the Obrien Celebrity 68" combo and...

    87 force

Re: 87 force also wanted to add this picture of my prop - my engine is white but other than that I think it is the same. If you have the black plastic flare piece that you see on the back of my prop then the props I mentioned will work for you. The ones I mentioned are Michigan Match props...

Anyone removed cup from prop ?

Re: Anyone removed cup from prop ? took the boat out this weekend and ran the stainless prop all day. If I trim up alot the engine the steering is very sloppy (so weird feeling) - like it has a few inches of play but I know it doesn't have any. It seems unstable like that. I'm guessing it's...

Anyone removed cup from prop ?

Re: Anyone removed cup from prop ? here is a chart with the 2 props i have circled and also a picture. Both are michigan. The stainless one I have is off an 1988 force, but they fit anything from 84-94 force I believe. They don't make stainless anymore for my engine. as for my engine...

Anyone removed cup from prop ?

I have a 15 pitch stainless prop for my outboard... picked it up used for cheap. runs faster out of the hole than my 15 pitch aluminum but it is a little slower top end. I'm not too concerned about top end but the thing I have noticed it that it is harder to steer with it on. Stainless...
