Re: ok winter....enough already!!!! Dunno, still calling for snow here the next couple days. The birds are pretty confused - my wife felt sorry for all the little ones trying to find food (they look pretty well fed to me).

    Rebuild porch this year.

Re: Rebuild porch this year. Trex Transcend is what we used on the front porch I built last fall. Not cheap by any means but looks great, has a nice "grain" for traction and it is difficult to damage. I shovel it with a shovel that has a hard plastic blade.

1st day of waterskiing in MN this year - March 16th

1st day of waterskiing in MN this year - March 16th My son didn't have quite as much luck as I did and got to take a swim. Each round you make it, they move the start line closer to the pond and you go again. Nobody completed the 3rd round, so it came down to distance. I came up a couple feet...

What are the worst 3 vehicles you have ever owned.

Just for fun 1) 1984 Cavalier Type 10 - burned almost as much oil as gas and that was one of its good points 2) 1980 Chevette - My first car - primer grey on the outside with a red interior that had faded to pink. Especially gutless since it actually had an automatic trans. 3) 1995 Chrysler...

Question about hauling small boat out of the water

Re: Question about hauling small boat out of the water Crude drawing of lift setup. Adjustable balance bar would be best, then you can fine tune the balance

    Trick ski question

Re: Trick ski question Sure, its comfortable like this and it was easy enough to ski on. If I switch to the other direction I can't do it - partly because of an ankle I broke that doesn't rotate any more. I think I'll just yank the binding and put it inline with the front one Here is...

    Trick ski question

Couple probabally simple questions. I picked up this used trick ski for me and the kids to mess around with. Tried it out today with ok results. - which foot is supposed to go forward with the bindings set like this? My kid thought left foot, but with the angle of the rear there was no way...

    This could have ended poorly

Noticed this a few minutes ago - tpms retaining nut seems about ready to crack in half and fall off. That would be fun on a front tire at 65MPH. Guess I should pop the spare on, not worth chancing the run to the tire shop with it like that.

    Oops - check your spares

The thread about the spare tire carrier breaking prompted me to take a look at mine this morning, getting ready to take off for the day. The carrier is fine but it looks like the boat hit the spare pretty hard at least once and bent the bracket enough to push one of the exposed ends of the...

    Braided outboard fuel lines?

Anyone make the standard Mercury Outboard fuel lines with a braided fuel hose on them? My dads pontoon keeps eating fuel lines when the motor is put all the way up so it is out of the water. Guess we could make one, but if there is a commercially available one I would just buy him one.

    Your first boat story

Maybe there is already a thread like this but here goes. My wife had grown up around boats and her dad used to take us out every couple weekends after we were married. In 2003 my wife decided that she wanted a boat of our own and I reluctantly agreed. She sold her 1970 Triumph Spitfire to pay...

So just got off the water.....

Re: So just got off the water..... Here is a picture of dads pontoon on the trailer (hoosier sissor) You can see the round rubber stops on the top of the trailer. Wouldn't take much to add them to a trailer that did not have them.
