    Fuel issue, low idle circuit. Full speed that circuit is bypassed and run though the main jet. You most likely missed something cleaning the carbs.

    Should be set higher than that if there's no load. Possibly could be your problem.

    Didn't need to....the stopper broke at the flywheel. The parts your talking about are unnecessary for operation of the outboard, strictly a safety device

    I have a 1991 Evinrude 8 HP that I bought brand new and that broke twenty years ago. I like it because lots of times I back off beaches in windy weather and I can start it in reverse.

    Yeah, he said he thought they had to go into a freezer. Obviously they shrink and expand based apon temp. If anyone knows if that's true please speak up. Right now I have two 30 hp and a 70 jphnsons that have low compression in some of the cylinders...usually here in Seattle its off to the...

    Guys up here are doing what they call "hone boring" and then just replacing rings. If the motor is just well used and not messed up it's a good way to get some more use out of it. My prop shop guy, who's a good close personal friend, has a Bridgeport machine....I would be interested in any...

    Just sold this for $1500 after going through it. I bought two and they were a matched set that came off a whaler. 1986 and the vro's are going strong. Paid $1000 for the set I did replace the pulse limiter with the blue one.
