    165 L6 Bushings need replacement?

I'm getting ready to re-install my MC165's in a '72 Bertram. While everything is out I think it might be a good time to ensure the engine mounts are dampening properly. There are 2 rear bushings and 1 front bushing per engine. Plus a few thick rubber washers. The bushings don't seem to...

I bought an engine hoist, put it half way together and realized they gave me mis-matching boxes from different versions, took it apart, returned it, put the correct parts together and then realized the chains I had were not long enough. 2 Trips to home depot later the Oil pan is finally off. I...

It’s my garage. I can use a cherry picker. I like excuses to buy tools. How does the crank pulley come off? With a puller? I’m assuming it’s splined or keyed

I have finally, after a year, gotten my outdrives back after their rebuild. I have rebuilt transom assemblies to install in my newly rebuilt transom. Now I'm going through the engines before reinstalling everything. Compression was good on both engines. Already replaced risers and manifolds...

I also have inline 6's. I opted to buy rebuilt gimbal assemblies on Ebay and you can then either get sei drives or a1g1 and swap over the yoke

I'm not expecting them back. I can't get a straight answer on what parts are needed. They were original drives in very rough shape.

Drive Rebuilder Can't get parts, since November, May get Alpha for L6's

I sent my 2 MC-1 (1972 165 L6's) drives to a rebuilder for a pretty penny in November. After many months of accepting excuses I'm still in a position where he apparently still can't get parts, or he is broke and lying. I've decided not to wait any longer and to try and get my money back. I...

I have been studying and I think this has all the AYBC colors and standards but I'm still not sure this is right. And if it is right schematically, what wire color should I be using for the harness side of the resistance wire shown here in red? should it be purple? My alternator, by the way...
