    btw all wires and contacts are shiny cleaned i cleaned them myself the battery is brand new but 75% charge from what google says about the voltage ill go try to find a small bolt to better mount that ground wire to the engine block

    what about the ground to engine it seems loose but i have contact to block and the buton it looks like its too long could that pose a problem for it clicking?

    tested it like u said just one click also tested the new battery its getting 12.43 volts

    update: i am now confused i'm been reading up and people on forums have said if the solenoid clicks its working not i came across a forum post and this guy says a single click means its bad while multiple clicks means its good how true is this really?

    ok its raining tomorrow i will it when theres no rain i got the boat from my friend he explained that he had to jump the starter like your saying before he gave me the boat and he said it fired right up last year before he winterized it so if it does start mind you i don't know much about boats...

    like title says i have that motor and the wiring was done wrong from last owner i think because i hooked up a battery and turned key on and the wires got fried so i'm redoing the wiring with a new harness and need the right diagram i looked online and alot of them look like they might work until...
