    Early Cobalt Seat Help Needed

Is there a replacement offered to match factory? The vinyl could be switched over? Looks like some screws and a lot of staples.

    Early Cobalt Seat Help Needed

Scott, it's a roto-mold. Both seats are cracked where the bolsters hinge. I have done some research and found it to be a common problem even with some of the newer Cobalts. I plan on dissembling and taking a sheet of aluminum which I will cut to shape and drill, as a reinforcement, and...

    Early Cobalt Seat Help Needed

Update in case this helps others.... Found a stamping on the seat base. Found out it was Garelick. After talking to a couple reputable boat supply shops, Cobalt, Attwood, and Garelick I found out they no longer offer bushings. If a person had time on there hands they may be able to make...

Alumacraft 14ft Weight and Motor Capacity

Check fiberclassic.com library if you haven't already. My '58 15' Alumacraft was around 300lbs without engine or options. With the aqueduct tansom it was rated for max of 60 hp. I know it's not apples to apples but might give you a general idea.

    Duo prop seal replacement

Newbie to this. I bought an upper and lower seal kit thinking I would reseal the whole thing. It has been rebuilt before pretty extensively in 2017. Some gears replaced as part of it. PO claims it didn't have much run time on it but I have no way to verify that. You were kind enough to send me...

The 6.25-12 on the trailer now are roughly 23 tall and the tread is 4 wide.

    Vintage Tire Issues

I do like the vintage package and don't usually mind a challenge if it's not too extreme or overly expensive. This trailer seems pretty sound no damage or rust other than surface here and there. All the optional tilt and bunk drop work other than a little stiff from lack of use. Has old...

    Duo prop seal replacement

Finally received all my seals. Can anyone verify if any specialized tools are required before I start disassembly?

Anyone use a 2017 kia Sorrento AWD/4wd high output engine?

I currently own three boats, lightest being 15' Alumacraft which is not much over 1500lbs, a 22' aluminum cabin cruiser at closer to 3000 lbs, and a 27' yacht at closer to 6000 lbs. I know it's a little different but I own a 2011 Kia Sorento with the high output 6 cyl. The only one of the...

VP 5.7 WOT RPM question. Is 4100 RPM low?

My '94 7.4 GI sticker says 4200-4600. It may not matter but mines a DP. I know it's not the same beat though. Not sure of you boat engine's maintenance, but make sure it's 100% before playing with props. My boat sat almost four years prior to purchase and between 98 gallons of old fuel and...

    Vintage Tire Issues

Thanks for the info. I believe the 5.30-12 is 21.9". The 6.00-12 is 22". 145r12 is 21.3" I think I may be ahead of the game to go with a radial over a bias ply even though it's not quite as tall. The factory info in the picture is confusing. My trailer is stamped as a 552 showing max...

    1958 Crestliner Vagabond

Trying to get specific info on transom... Not sure anyone will see it in my other post unless they have specific interest in a 1958 Crestliner specifically.

    1958 Crestliner Vagabond

My transom is bowed badly from to many years, two many motors (lol), and moisture. I need to rebuild it. Looks fairly straight forward. It looks like two pieces of 1" plywood together with a 2x2 piece of hard wood horizontal along the top. Since it's painted I was thinking of using Coosa...

Aqua Power 95001 Heavy Duty Docking Light upgrades?

If I understand correctly this would be based on (old) CP ratings. This would make it close to 377100 Lumens! These numbers make me think that the CP units being given for the light are the new CP which is closer to 1=1. Even at these numbers, to find a 30,000 Lumens LED bulb that would...

    1958 Crestliner Vagabond

Top is fiberglass with metal supports and chrome roof top grab rails. Probably not a ton of weight. Guessing 100-150 lbs. Once on the water if it looks like a keeper I am leaning toward it's removal and replace it with a convertible top more like the factory. The windsheild wiper would...
