    FishBottom Finder reading

    need help understanding how to read a fish finder/bottomfinder, manuals don't seem to give much detail on what all the graphic displays mean, different color variations and so forth, people talk about finding hard bottom ??? don't know how that displays, are there any sites that give good info...

    need info on 99 225hp RPM

    have a Johnson 99 225 OP, running a viper 14.75x17, on a 20' KeyWest 2020WA, engine @ WOT is turning 6100-6200@ 56mph(GPS) when trimmed, one person and 1/4 tank fuel(15g), hole shot incrediable an immediate plane, is this where this setup should be, boat is rated max at 225hp

    99 225 stator issue???

    just aquired 99 225 johnson, stator seems to be dripping a black goo onto timerbase, is this normal, is the stator going bad, could something be causing this, I'm guessing this is the 35 amp stator and must be running hot, if it has to be replaced are the CDI stators better then OEM they are...
