    Correct. Here are some pics of what I’m dealing with. Guess I’ll try applying heat because getting a drill in there at that angle would be tough. I’m leaving the trim tab alone for now since I’m hearing there’s likely no bolt under it.

    Good idea but unfortunately no welding access here. I have heard that’s one of the best methods for removing a rounded bolt. I suppose I could try drilling out that broken bolt though.

    Lol I too broke one side of the anode (the bolt is fine tho luckily). I found a replacement unit but will hold off ordering for now. If I can’t get the LU off there’s no point in throwing more money at this motor. Will be contacting more marine mechanics in our area this week for assistance.

I thought those were it, but according to the parts list attached to my serial number on CrowleyMarine there is another bolt hidden underneath...

    The poppit valve, located directly above the thermostat (mine is red), is in immaculate condition, however the rubber(?) grommet that it sits in has been damaged. I’m trying to find a new valve grommet now so I can order a replacement.

    Roger that. Will be replacing and resealing the gasket along with the thermostat and thermo switch. Then I’ll move on to the impeller/water pump assembly and see if she’s still beeping after all of that.
