    Is this a problem?(throttle linkage)

    If you look at the gray connector that goes over the ball joint it has a crack the other one has a crack in middle too. Is this supposed to be this way so there is some give or do i need to replace. I really do not want to get stuck out on the lake and this part is fairly inexpensive.
